1. Why Straight Cut Cylinder?
1.1 Cylinder shape media minimize lodging issue
Angle cut cylinder can effectively deburring the ID (Inner Diameter) of drilled holes in cast parts, or inside diameter of washer, and some other stamping parts.
The steel washer parts bellow is recommend to use cylinder shape (preferred angle cut cylinder shape media). Because ID 3/4 inch, so we recommend the cylinder shape media 70% of ID. A cylinder media with diameter 9/16 inch or 14mm is good choice.
Thus, each time one piece of cylinder can enter into the inner hole. This give much longer time for porcelain media wear down. What’s more, porcelain vibratory polishing media is a non-abrasive media. As a result, it have much longer life than ceramic abrasive media.
1.2 Easier to manufacture
Cylinder shape media with straight cut can be done in automatic cutting machine. Thus this feature offer higher production capacity and daily output.

After that, a vacuum compressor removes void in the material and make it a solid and rigid material before drying and baking.

Also, the engineer selects a right grade of abrasive grit, the proportion of abrasive to the binder, and the most suitable binder. All these factors contribute to the ceramic media performance. As a result, the right selection of media meets the requirement of certain parts and application.
